The industry standard cable for direct burial is a single stranded copper conductor covered with an insulation of High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (HMWPE). NMT® Electrodes’ HMWPE cable is a critical component of the cathodic protection systems of which it is a part of.
During installation the cable is able to withstand significant mechanical abuse without compromising the conductor itself.
